.SH NAME
.PP
oc idle \- Idle scalable resources

.SH SYNOPSIS
.PP
\fBoc idle\fP [OPTIONS]

.SH DESCRIPTION
.PP
Idle scalable resources

.PP
Idling discovers the scalable resources (such as deployment configs and replication controllers) associated with a series of services by examining the endpoints of the service. Each service is then marked as idled, the associated resources are recorded, and the resources are scaled down to zero replicas.

.PP
Upon receiving network traffic, the services (and any associated routes) will "wake up" the associated resources by scaling them back up to their previous scale.

.SH OPTIONS
.PP
\fB\-\-all\fP=false
if true, select all services in the namespace

.PP
\fB\-\-all\-namespaces\fP=false
if true, select services across all namespaces

.PP
\fB\-\-dry\-run\fP=false
If true, only print the annotations that would be written, without annotating or idling the relevant objects

.PP
\fB\-\-resource\-names\-file\fP=""
file containing list of services whose scalable resources to idle

.PP
\fB\-l\fP, \fB\-\-selector\fP=""
Selector (label query) to use to select services

.SH OPTIONS INHERITED FROM PARENT COMMANDS
.PP
\fB\-\-api\-version\fP=""
DEPRECATED: The API version to use when talking to the server

.PP
\fB\-\-as\fP=""
Username to impersonate for the operation

\fB\-\-match\-server\-version\fP=false
Require server version to match client version

.PP
\fB\-n\fP, \fB\-\-namespace\fP=""
If present, the namespace scope for this CLI request

.PP
\fB\-\-request\-timeout\fP="0"
The length of time to wait before giving up on a single server request. Non\-zero values should contain a corresponding time unit (e.g. 1s, 2m, 3h). A value of zero means don't timeout requests.
